“Want to Live” is a tragicomic story about Mateusz, who has cerebral palsy. Mateusz was deemed by doctors and those around him to be in a vegetative state. After several years, it turned out that the protagonist was a completely normal and intelligent person.

The lead role is played by Dawid Ogrodnik, known from “You Are God” Dawid Ogrodnik, who created an extraordinary and most moving performance in Polish cinema in recent years. His acting is on a par with the achievements of Daniel Day-Lewis in “My Left Foot,” Javier Bardem in “The Sea Inside,” and François Cluzet in “The Intouchables.”

At this year’s 38th Gdynia Film Festival, the film “Want to Live” received two awards: the Silver Lions Award and the Audience Award.

We will also see Dawid Ogrodnik in a supporting role in Paweł Pawlikowski’s film “Ida.” At Forum Cinema from October 25. Reservations are available on the kina Forum
