The performers began with the Pope’s favorite song, “Barka.” Individual pieces were interspersed with recitations of texts written by John Paul II. The program was supplemented by films and photographs of the Pope.

The concert, directed by Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy, was prepared by three vocal groups from the Song Studio of the Bolesławiec Cultural Center–International Ceramics Center. The performers were: the Błękitne Nutki vocal group, consisting of: Marta Wysocka, Bianka Pilitowska, Kornelia Nawrot, Katarzyna Rewińska, Magdalena Szylin, Milena Ziemska, Gabriel Burdzy, Adrianna Zaszutek, Julia Burdzy, Marika Zdunek, Natalia Woźniak; the Sound vocal group, consisting of: Karolina Wilk, Marcelina Walęga, Justyna Scholz, Karolina Sikora, Kacper Kuszewski, Julia Pranić, Tomislav Pranić, Celestyna Skóra, Magdalena Opała; and the Gospel Sound vocal group, consisting of: Edyta Gorczyca, Beata Pilitowska, Dorota Pioszkowska, Katarzyna Nalepa, Patrycja Pawłowska, Anna Myśliwiec, Edyta Kwiatkowska, Marzena Molak, Karolina Jarząbek.

The children, young people and adults were accompanied by a friendly band of musicians consisting of: Bogusław Kłak (piano), Piotr Gnyszka (saxophone), Piotr Salwerowicz (bass guitar) and Wojciech Łobudzki (drums).

An excellent repertoire and professionally prepared performers provided the many Bolesławiec residents in attendance with an evening full of emotion. The audience thanked the performers with a standing ovation. After the concert, the Parish Dean, Rev. Stanisław Kusik, thanked them for the wonderful concert and invited those gathered to enjoy papal kremówki.
