There is something special about concerts at Forum: it is the extraordinary audience of Bolesławiec. Every time, musicians sense the positive energy from the hall and give their all during concerts here. That was also the case during Gordon Haskell’s concert on Wednesday evening.
The artist began the concert with the song “The Right Time”. Haskell then engagingly introduced the audience to the mood of “Freeway To Her Dreams”, a song about freedom, travel and making one’s own choices in life.
“If you say you want to leave, go ahead—the road is clear,” Gordon described the song. “But if you stay, it is because you want to; nobody forced you to.”
After “Freeway…”, the hit “How Wonderful Sou Are” rang out, which the artist dedicated to our town. He frequently mentioned the name “Bolesławiec” during the concert, and he became increasingly more fluent in saying it, much to the audience’s delight.
The audience returned the warmth shown to them. Gordon conjured up a warm and joyful atmosphere with his compositions: “Mumbo Jumbo”, “Roll whit It”, and “Sunshine Days”.
The nearly two-hour concert was a great beginning to the autumn cultural season at Forum.
