As part of the long-term “Socially Active in Bolesławiec County 2008–2013” project, an integration picnic was organized on Saturday, October 5, for people taking part in this initiative. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

The assistance received by the beneficiaries is very tangible—practical courses, foreign-language learning and obtaining a driving licence. The project aims to increase social and professional integration and improve the quality of services provided for people at risk of social exclusion from the Bolesławiec County area.

The project participants are unemployed people of working age who receive social assistance. In 2013, 43 people received support, including 35 people with disabilities and 8 young people leaving foster care.
