The accident occurred on Monday at around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Obrońców Helu and Garncarska streets. According to the police's preliminary findings, the passenger car driver was responsible for the road collision. When turning left, the Alfa Romeo driver failed to yield the right of way to a cyclist approaching from the opposite direction. The man riding the bicycle hit the rear of the turning car. The cyclist was taken to the Bolesławiec hospital with bruises and spinal injuries. The car driver was sober.
