Tadeusz M. (37), Małgorzata M. (34) and Zbigniew A. (33) were detained by Bolesławiec police in Lubań on Tuesday. Police have evidence that the three suspects planned a fake robbery, carried it out and then notified the police. The staged robbery took place in December last year. As a result, the owners of currency exchange offices were harmed. Police conducted an investigation into the case for 10 months.
On Wednesday, 150,000 euros were found in the apartment of one of the suspects. The man kept the money in a hiding place. Items belonging to the suspects, worth PLN 150,000, were also secured. The evidence gathered by police is intended to enable the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra to block the bank accounts of the three suspects. On Thursday, police submitted a request to the court for their temporary detention.
