After Bolesławiec’s table tennis players found the training hall doors locked last Monday, district governor Krzysztof Konopka resolved the problem—but only partially.
An agreement has been signed with the District Office, giving the club guaranteed access to the hall for the next month. At the facility on Bielska Street, the players may train free of charge until 25 August. “It is not known what will happen later,” says Robert Tomczyk, the Club’s president. Meanwhile, the season is beginning. The first match is scheduled for 11 September.
The table tennis players may use the hall on Bielska Street only in the morning, so that the facility does not have to be lit. As a result, the school principal responsible for the hall saves several złoty a day. The savings are necessary because the District Office ordered him to make them.
