Police officers from the Traffic Division of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław detained a man suspected of driving a stolen vehicle. The detention took place on a section of the A4 motorway in Bolesławiec County. The officers received information that a white van, which might have been stolen, was travelling along this section of the road. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic check, and the driver turned out to be a 37-year-old resident of Pomeranian Voivodeship. During the officers’ activities, they established that the vehicle, worth more than PLN 80,000, had been stolen in Germany. The vehicle had a broken side-door window and a damaged ignition.

Bolesławiec police officers are continuing to clarify all the circumstances of the case. The detained man has already been charged with handling stolen goods. For the act of which he is suspected, he now faces a prison sentence of up to five years.
