On 28 June 2013, the Bolesławiec Senior Citizens’ Council summed up the 2011–2013 term. The Council’s activities involve identifying the priorities, needs and problems of senior citizens and presenting proposals and applications concerning measures for seniors. The Council consists of the following representatives nominated by public institutions, non-governmental organisations, including church units, and universities whose statutory activities cover work for older people:

  • Zygmunt Brusiło – University of the Third Age
  • Marianna Doktor – Polish Association of Pensioners, Retirees and the Disabled
  • Bogdan Gajewski – Association of Police Pensioners and Retirees
  • Władysław Jędryczka – Association of Former Professional Soldiers and Reserve Officers of the Polish Armed Forces
  • Lidia Kremzer – Polish Diabetes Association
  • Zdzisław Lach – Association of Siberians
  • Henryk Lemka – Polish Allotment Garden Association
  • Maria Szpak – Association of People with Disabilities
  • Teresa Śliwińska – Bolesławiec Amazons’ Club
  • Halina Terelak – Day Care Centre
  • Eugenia Wolska – Social Association “Carpe Diem”
  • Edmund Wołoszyk – Association of War Veterans of the Republic of Poland.

Among the many tasks included in the current term’s work plan, the following areas of activity may be listed: information, health, education – fostering intergenerational bonds – and the Council’s initiatives in external contacts.

The Bolesławiec Senior Citizens’ Council was established in 2009. The Council’s main aim is to serve an advisory and consultative role in matters concerning the quality of life of older people.
