At the Wedding Palace in Bolesławiec, six married couples celebrated their golden wedding anniversaries. Celebrating their fiftieth anniversary were: Józefa and Franciszek Jajkowie, Krystyna and Zdzisław Mienculewiczowie, Marianna and Ireneusz Kozikowscy, Paulina and Ditrich Berndtowie, Zofia and Franciszek Cieślakowie, Teresa and Wiesław Łysakowscy. The distinguished jubilaries were honored with certificates and medals for long marital life. The Medal for Long Marital Life is awarded to people who have spent 50 years in one marriage.
“These 50 years together are a symbol of fidelity and family love, proof of mutual understanding of the essence of marriage, and a model and beautiful example of marital harmony and love for all those who today decide to be joined in marriage,” said Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman, congratulating the couples and wishing them happiness and many more years together in health and love.
The ceremony was enhanced by a performance by students from the State Music School in Bolesławiec.
