The firefighters’ festival was held on Saturday, 4 May, in Trzebień (Bolesławiec Municipality). The ceremony was attended, among others, by the president of the County Branch Board of the Volunteer Fire Brigades Association of the Republic of Poland Zbigniew Bożęcki, vice-presidents Stanisław Kozioł and Józef Kata, county governor Cezary Przybylski, Bolesławiec deputy mayor Kornel Filipowicz, chair of the Nowogrodziec Council Wilhelm Tomczuk, Nowogrodziec mayor Robert Relich, Warta Bolesławiecka municipal head Mirosław Haniszewski, chair of the Osiecznica Council Wanda Abram, Osiecznica municipal head Waldemar Nalazek, chair of the Bolesławiec Municipality Council Bogusław Uziej and deputy chair Józef Hunek, Bolesławiec municipal head Andrzej Dutkowski, deputy municipal head Roman Jaworski and treasurer Franciszek Popek, chair of the Gromadka Council Krzysztof Król, as well as county PSP commander Grzegorz Kocon and his deputy Robert Brzeziński.

During the ceremony, decorations and medals were presented to meritorious volunteer firefighters, while firefighters received promotions. The event was enhanced by artistic performances. The following performed on stage: children from the Primary School in Trzebień, vocalists Katarzyna Rzepka and Nina Wąsik, the Jutrzenka Municipal Song and Dance Ensemble, and a men’s quartet from the Leśne Nastroje ensemble from Dobra.

There were also firefighters’ competitions. The festival ended with a dance party. A more extensive report can be found on the website of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn.
