Before 8:00 p.m., people were evacuated from Piłsudskiego Square and Asnyka Street. The reason was the smell of gas detected on the street and in the square.
It has already been established that there was a higher concentration of gas in one of the manholes. A crisis management team has been convened. The Gas Emergency Service, Fire Service, Municipal Police and Police are on site. The manholes are currently being ventilated. The causes of the gas accumulation are not yet known.
The Ceramic Festival is proceeding without disruption in the rest of the city.
