Many visitors came to Bolesławiec for the Ceramic Festival, including representatives of partner cities from Siegburg, Pirna, Hobro and Česká Lípa. The festival began with a grand ceramic parade and the handover of the keys to the city gates to Bolesławiec ceramic producers. An exhibition of Marita Benke-Gajda’s sculpture and Wojciech Kowalczyk’s drawings opened at the museum.

Late in the evening, Zakopower, the winner of this year’s Top Trendy festival in Sopot, performed, followed immediately by Kukiz with the band Piersi.

The festival’s main attraction is the sale of ceramic products by more than 40 producers from Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as a presentation of Bolesławiec ceramics on one large communal table. Around the Market Square, in numerous streets and on squares, demonstrations of throwing pottery on a wheel are taking place, along with workshops in hand-painting bisque and various ceramic forms led by professionals and amateurs, where everyone can try their hand.

The Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival is accompanied by large-scale activities involving visual artists and actors, as well as numerous happenings with the participation of ceramic artists, participants in the 41st International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium, and artists from the Pławna 9 Group. At the same time, the International Youth Ceramic Symposium Workshops are taking place, attended by students from the Ceramic Secondary School in the Czech Republic.

The Boleslawiec.org service is the exclusive online patron of the Ceramic Festival.
