At Forum cinema, the film “Closed Circuit,” a story based on true events, will be screened. Three owners of a highly successful company are publicly arrested as a result of a conspiracy by corrupt officials, accused of acting in an organized criminal group and money laundering.

The officials are played by Janusz Gajos (prosecutor) and Kazimierz Kaczor (head of the tax office). The role of Piotr Maj is played by Bolesławiec resident Robert Olech. The actor visited us in 2007 on the occasion of the premiere of the film “The Immensity of Justice,” directed by Wiesław Saniewski.

The inspiration for the screenwriters of “Closed Circuit,” Michał S. Pruski and Mirosław Piepka (the creators of the film “Black Thursday. Janek Wiśniewski Fell”), was the true story of businessmen struggling with charges brought by the prosecutor’s office and the tax office. They all ended up in detention, and their company was driven into collapse. The cases brought against them were discontinued years later due to a lack of evidence of a crime, and the entrepreneurs received symbolic compensation.

At the beginning of the year, as part of the annual gala of the Employers of the Republic of Poland, the creators of “Closed Circuit” were honored with the Vector of Hope, an award for courage in striving to present the truth about the problems Polish entrepreneurs face every day in their struggle against the ruthless administrative machine, and for the extraordinary perseverance that made producing the film possible.
