The Bolesławiec City Hall informs residents that, due to the holiday period, declarations on the amount of the fee for municipal waste management can be submitted also in April 2013.

On 1 January 2012, a new Act on Maintaining Cleanliness and Order in Municipalities entered into force. Its provisions bring Polish regulations into line with the highest environmental standards in force in the countries of the European Union.

The change in regulations means that from 1 July 2013, the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune will take over management of waste. The new system will cover all city residents (inhabited and uninhabited properties), including those who have not previously had contracts or have terminated such contracts.

The municipality will select only one company to collect municipal waste through a tender. In return for the fee for municipal waste management paid by the property owner, segregated and unsorted municipal waste will be collected in any quantity.

All information about changes in the operation of the waste management system in Bolesławiec can be obtained from the Waste Management Department, located at the Municipal Housing Management Facility at 23 Dolne Młyny Street (room 1), and at the following telephone numbers: 75 644 09 23 and 723 353 322.
