Since January, Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 im. Polaków Zesłanych na Sybir and Heinrich-Pestalozzi-Mittelschule in Löbau have been carrying out a project entitled Cross-Border Student Short Film Festival, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by funds from the state budget with the support of the Neisse Euroregion.
During the first meeting in Löbau, the young people, working in Polish-German groups under the supervision of instructors, wrote film scripts. In February, they took a course in using film-editing software so that, during the March meeting, they could make five short films about teenagers’ problems, relationships between them and ways of spending their free time. One group will form a Polish-German team that will perform together the well-known hit “Ona tańczy dla mnie” by the group Weekend.
In April, the project participants will edit their films, which they will present at the Short Film Festival (the event will take place both in Poland and in Germany).
