The incident occurred in Nowogrodziec. A drunk driver was detained by police. The 53-year-old resident of Lubań County was driving with almost 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. His passenger, a year younger, decided to come to his aid and tried to give the police officers PLN 300 in exchange for them abandoning their official duties.
Both men were detained. The 52-year-old now faces up to 10 years in prison, while the friend he wanted to help faces up to 2 years’ imprisonment.
