The modernisation and expansion of the surveillance system is scheduled to continue until June this year. On 7 January, an agreement was signed for funding the project entitled “Monitoring Tourist Areas of the City of Bolesławiec”, carried out under Priority 6, “Use and Promotion of the Tourist and Cultural Potential of Lower Silesia”, Measure 6.5, “Actions Supporting Tourist and Cultural Infrastructure”, of the Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2007–2013.

The total value of the project is more than PLN 1.615 million. The funding will amount to more than PLN 1.118 million (nearly 70%).

The project concerns the modernisation and expansion of the municipal surveillance system in Bolesławiec. The applicant is the Municipality of Bolesławiec. The system will be managed by the Bolesławiec Municipal Police.

The investment provides for the modernisation of 16 existing camera points. In addition, 15 new points of this type will be created. The system’s coverage will be expanded through the purchase of a mobile surveillance point—a vehicle equipped with a camera that can be sent anywhere in the city.
