The incident took place on January 23. Municipal police officers received a report from an employee of the Municipal Transport Company in Bolesławiec that an elderly woman on one of the buses had begun sliding off her seat.
The bus stopped at the PKP railway station. After arriving at the scene, the municipal police officers checked the woman’s basic vital signs. Her condition suggested that she might have diabetes. A note found in the Bolesławiec resident’s handbag confirmed the officers’ suspicions.
An ambulance was called. In the meantime, the officers tried to give the woman a sweetener. Unsuccessfully.
The 77-year-old woman was taken to the Hospital Emergency Department. A female municipal police officer informed the patient’s daughter about the incident.
