The “Safe Winter – Safe Holidays” campaign, carried out by the Bolesławiec Municipal Police, is under way. The officers visit pupils at Bolesławiec primary schools (grades 0–III) and explain the rules for safe recreation after classes and during the winter holidays. They appeal to pupils to ensure that snowball fights do not end in tragedy; they draw the youngest children’s attention to the dangers posed by overhanging snow and icicles.
The children actively participate in the activities. Importantly, they can clearly identify the main causes of accidents and anticipate the consequences of inappropriate behaviour.
The meetings organised by the municipal police officers will continue until 25 January this year.
