Warta Bolesławiecka debuted in the ranking in 1999, in 63rd place. It then moved higher. In 2003, it achieved 24th place, its highest position in the ranking to date. In the previous edition, it ranked 40th, before returning to a higher, 25th place this year.
Investments in Warta, calculated per resident, amounted to PLN 2,500. According to the ranking's organizers, the assessment also takes into account off-budget investments, mainly those made by companies owned by the municipality.
The eighth final of the competition took place on Tuesday at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The Golden Hundred of Local Governments ranking is organized by the Warsaw-based Regional Research Centre.
