From Friday to Sunday (December 14–16, 2012), the annual Star of Kindness will take place in Bolesławiec Market Square. This year’s celebration offers a very rich program. There will be a concert of Christmas carols and pastorales performed by participants in classes at the BOK-MCC studios, meetings with Saint Nicholas, a Christmas market, a theatrical performance and a Nativity scene.

The main event will be a Christmas stars’ concert featuring Janusz Radek and Jacek Wójcicki. Admission to the concert will be by invitation; invitations can be collected from December 10 to 15 at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point at Plac Piłsudskiego (Forum cinema). An invitation can be obtained in exchange for donating cleaning products to the Children’s Home in Bolesławiec (please bring cleaning products, not money). The number of invitations is limited.

On Sunday, December 16, the city authorities will extend their wishes to residents, and Mayor Piotr Roman will share the Christmas wafer with those attending the celebrations.

The organizers of the Bolesławiec Star of Kindness are: the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec Cultural Center–International Ceramics Center, and the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
