At the Bolesławiec University of the Third Age, which is part of the Wrocław University of Economics, another academic year has begun. The ceremony took place on Saturday, October 20. This year, 159 women and 22 men attend the University. Most of the students were born between 1941 and 1950. The majority have secondary or higher education.
In the 2012/2013 academic year, there are 25 class groups, including three groups led by students (the cultural and knowledge club, Nordic walking, and the hiking section). The following classes have been prepared for students: English, German, basic computer skills, rehabilitation exercises, Chinese exercises, dance exercises, yoga, oriental dance, gym, swimming pool/swimming lessons, rehabilitation exercises in water, recreational swimming, painting workshops, psychology workshops, and music workshops.
The academic year runs from October to May. Recruitment begins in May, and in June, following a decision by the qualification committee, students register for their chosen classes.
