At the initiative of Mirosław Sakowski, headmaster of II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Janusza Korczaka in Bolesławiec, the “Helping through sport” campaign has begun. “We would like everyone who has used or new but no longer needed sports equipment to donate it to people in need,” says Agnieszka Niedźwiecka, teacher and mentor of the Student Council, which is coordinating the initiative.

The collection will include, among other things, rollerblades, balls, ice skates, skateboards, scooters, sports clothing and footwear, protective gear, helmets and bicycles. Sports equipment can be left at the reception desk of II LO (ul. Dolne Młyny).

The campaign will be summed up next year. “We believe that this initiative will reach as many people as possible who want to help,” the organizers emphasize. “We intend to pass on the collected equipment on an ongoing basis to children who dream of having their own rollerblades, ice skates or football boots. We are sure that our idea will receive a warm welcome and that together we will achieve our intended goal.”
