The modernization of Bolesławiec’s sewer system and wastewater treatment plant will be co-financed by the European Cohesion Fund. It will cover approximately half of the total investment costs. The beneficiary of this funding, namely the city, must arrange the remaining amount. The entire investment will cost nearly PLN 86 million. Of this amount, the municipality will have to provide approximately PLN 43 million. However, it does not have to pay exclusively from its own budget. One of the possible sources of funding for the investment was obtaining money from the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The money from the fund will account for nearly 23% of the total investment. The loan will be granted on terms favorable to the municipality. Bolesławiec may also receive funding from the National Fund for Environmental Protection. However, part of the costs assigned to the municipality will have to be covered from the municipal budget.
