The arrest took place on 30 July. A 36-year-old resident of Gmina Bolesławiec is suspected of stealing PLN 7,000, jewellery worth PLN 600 and a bicycle. As the officers established, the man, who had been hired for seasonal work, took advantage of the householders’ absence to steal the money and jewellery, and then the bicycle, which he used to leave the scene of the crime.
The 36-year-old had already come into conflict with the law. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
