Police officers from Warta Bolesławiecka detained two employees of a plant operating in the municipality. Both detainees (Bolesławiec residents aged 25 and 23) are suspected of stealing copper cables worth nearly PLN 1,500. The men were caught red-handed while loading the stolen cables into a car.
The suspects cut out the copper wires (weighing nearly 75 kg) during working hours and then hid them in bushes. After work, they returned to collect the stolen property.
The two men from Bolesławiec now face up to five years in prison.
