The incident occurred on 17 June in the village of Modła (Gromadka Municipality). Kazimierz S. struck Jadwiga K. on the head with a wooden pole. The woman died as a result of her injuries. Investigators believe that S. probably wanted to take revenge for the victim’s behavior towards his brother.
At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the court temporarily detained Kazimierz S. for three months. The man faces up to life imprisonment.
