On Wednesday, 21 October, the official opening of the Modła–Trzebień bicycle path took place. The new route is intended to serve residents of Gromadka municipality and cyclists visiting this part of the region.
– I am very pleased that today we were able to open this bicycle path, which will serve the residents of Gromadka municipality and not only them, because I can see that tourists from all over Lower Silesia are arriving here – said wójt Ryszard Kawka. As he stressed, the section connecting Modła with Trzebień was needed. According to information provided by the wójt, the path is nearly 13 kilometres long.
Further connections planned

Such a connection would in the future make it possible to incorporate the opened route into a broader network of local bicycle paths. During his speech, the wójt did not provide deadlines for the completion of further sections.
The Modła–Trzebień route is connected with the Lower Silesian Cycle Route project, a regional network of bicycle routes. The investment received co-financing from European Union funds under the European Regional Development Fund and from the state budget.
Wójt appeals for respect for the path
During the opening, Ryszard Kawka also addressed the people who will use the new infrastructure.
– On this occasion, I would like to ask everyone who can hear me not to damage this path when using it. Let us try to leave it in the condition it is in – he appealed.
