A flower festival was held in Łaziska, organized by the Village Council, Parish Council, councillor Grażyna Łucka, the Rural Housewives’ Circle, the Sports Club, the “Nasze Łaziska” Association and the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, with its registered office in Kruszyn.
During the event, the competition for the most beautiful bouquet was decided. The first prize went to the ladies from the Rural Housewives’ Circle in Łaziska. The hosts from Kierżno came second. The ladies from Wykroty took third place. The bouquets were assessed by a jury consisting of: Ryszard Kucharski, president of the Regional Association of Agricultural Circles and Organisations in Jelenia Góra, Władysława Kotlarek, head of the Amazons Association in Bolesławiec, and Elżbieta Osuchowska from the “Nasze Łaziska” Association.
The following performers appeared on stage: students of Bronisław Górecki and Agnieszka Orawiec. There was also an oriental dance performance by children from Kraszowice and Żeliszów. Their instructor is Agnieszka Michalczuk.
Folklore enthusiasts also had no reason to complain. That day, the well-known Municipal Song and Dance Ensemble “Jutrzenka” performed, as did the Niespodzianki group from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. A nod to the younger audience was the performance by the beatboxers from 2 Beats Story.
