In April this year, councillor Wojciech Kasprzyk posted a joke about Black people on Facebook. The Bolesławiec Civic Platform branch decided to expel the councillor. In the justification for the decision, Dariusz Kwaśniewski, chair of the Municipal Branch, wrote: “This racist text discredits [Wojciecha Kasprzyka] as a member of our party. […] His act is seriously damaging to Civic Platform.”
It is known that Kasprzyk also submitted his resignation before the decision of the Municipal Branch, but Dariusz Kwaśniewski did not accept it. For formal reasons.
The Voivodeship Peer Court has now overturned the decision concerning Kasprzyk and imposed a six-month suspension on him. After that period, Kasprzyk will still be a member of Civic Platform.
