No trains have been entering or leaving Wrocław for several hours. Because of the violent storm that passed over Lower Silesia this afternoon, overhead electrical lines have been damaged in many places and fallen trees are lying on the tracks. The Wrocław railway junction is cut off from the outside world; all trains have stopped at varying distances from Wrocław. The situation will not return to normal until early Tuesday morning.

Trains are operating only on routes from Wrocław to Poznań. Railway lines to Zgorzelec, Opole, Kłodzko and Zielona Góra are blocked. The main PKP railway station in Wrocław is also without power.

Two trains from Wrocław will not reach Bolesławiec today: the Wrocław–Węgliniec passenger train scheduled for 20:54 and the “Wrocławianin” train from Warszawa Wsch. to Zgorzelec scheduled for 21:59. The Goerlitz–Wrocław passenger train scheduled for 19:08 will not reach Wrocław. For travelers stranded at stations or on trains stopped in the middle of nowhere, Polskie Koleje Państwowe are organizing replacement bus services.
