The field training of the subunits of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, held in Toruń, ended on 18 May. During the exercises, the soldiers of the rocket artillery squadron (under Lieutenant Colonel Paweł Świtalski) carried out firing tasks using live ammunition in both daylight and nighttime conditions.
One stage of the training was the fire-control exercise codenamed Orkan 12, conducted by Colonel Andrzej Lorenc, commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment. During the exercise, modern reconnaissance systems were used, including the Fly Eye unmanned reconnaissance aircraft (BSR) and the Liwiec Artillery Reconnaissance Radar Set.
