From 17 to 20 April, the central stage of the 4th Hotel Management Knowledge Olympiad was held in Kołobrzeg. Karolina Wrochna, a fourth-year student of the Hotel Management Technical School at the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych im. majora Henryka Sucharskiego in Bolesławiec, took part in it.
On the first day of the Olympiad, the contestants solved a test consisting of 100 tasks; on the second day, the 15 best contestants took the practical part in the reception area and restaurant. By decision of the Main Committee of the Hotel Management Knowledge Olympiad, Karolina earned the title of finalist and was exempted from the written part of the vocational examination.
The organizers of the Olympiad provided its participants and their supervisors with many attractions. There were also lectures and demonstrations by Voigt, the main sponsor of the Olympiad. The contestants also had the opportunity to visit Kołobrzeg and take part in a rafting trip in rafts on the Parsęta River.
