An unexploded ordnance item (approximately 30 cm long and 7 cm in diameter) was discovered on 30 April during construction work near a Tesco petrol station. The staff and customers of Tesco, Intermarché and Bricomarché stores, two petrol stations, as well as students of the Zespół Szkół Budowlanych in Bolesławiec, have already been evacuated.
Bomb disposal experts, firefighters and police are at the scene. The entrance to Bolesławiec from the direction of Kruszyn and part of al. Tysiąclecia are closed. Police officers are directing traffic along detours.

The unexploded ordnance was removed by bomb disposal experts. Traffic has been restored. The stores and petrol stations are now open.
