The preschoolers visited the headquarters of the Heat Energy Company in Bolesławiec, where they were presented with prizes for their artworks during a ceremony. The competition was organized as part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of district heating in Bolesławiec.
The competition aimed to teach children how important it is to care for the environment and what benefits come from heating homes with hot water instead of gas- or coal-fired stoves. The children also learned how to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning and other accidents associated with traditional heating.
Twelve preschoolers from branch no. 3 of the kindergarten took part in the competition. The young artists created individual and group works. All the entries were highly appreciated by the jury, and their authors received material prizes and certificates.
The group works created by the middle and youngest groups received special recognition. As the company’s president, Wiesław Ogrodnik, said, they will be included in a ZEC folder that will be distributed to all companies and institutions in our city.
The competition winners also had the opportunity to tour the plant and learn about the process of producing heat for central heating and domestic hot water.
In the youngest group, for the group work created under the guidance of their teacher, Dorota Berestecka, the award went to: Nina Religa, Matylda Bujak, Natalia Szeklińska and Cecylia Wajs.
In the middle group, for the group work created under the guidance of their teacher, Iwona Witczak, the award went to: Maja Matysik, Nikola Robak, Zosia Koza and Marceli Kot.
In the oldest group, for individual works created under the guidance of their teacher, Mariola Swoboda, the awards went to: Marcelina Niziołek, Kamil Pietrzak, Patryk Zarzycki and Damian Dyka. Congratulations to all the young artists, and we wish them continued success.
