The album “Nights and Dreams” features songs never before recorded by the artist. – When I was offered the chance to record an album, I was above all astonished – this is how Magda Umer describes her project. – But when I was told that I could sing whatever I wanted, I thought that I had a chance to fulfil my dream and perform songs particularly close to my heart and important at this “November” stage of life.
The actress describes the repertoire as “a November tale about the November life of a November woman.” Agnieszka Osiecka held Magda Umer in very high regard. She said that Umer was a master of mood who completely swept listeners into her singing tale. She called her a “green-eyed creature” who charmed the audience with her expressionistic whisper and piercing celadon gaze, provoking in listeners a concentration bordering on hypnosis.
Magda Umer will perform in Boleslawiec with pianist Wojciech Borkowski and a musical ensemble consisting of Marek Wroński (violin), Alfred Wiltos (cello), Bartłomiej Krauz (accordion) and Adam Cegielski (double bass).
The concert will take place on 3 June (Sunday) at 6:00 p.m. at the Old Theatre. The ticket price is 90 zlotys. Tickets can be purchased at Agencja Perfekt at 80 Sierpnia Street in Bolesławiec. Telephone contact: 75 732-02-12.
