Anna Maria Jopek performed in Bolesławiec with her band for the first time. She presented a programme from the album “Sombremesa”. Joining the vocalist on stage were Yami (bass guitar), Marito Marques (drums), Krzysztof Herdzin (keyboards), Marek Napiórkowski (guitar) and Henryk Miśkiewicz (saxophone, clarinet).
The first song took the audience on a voyage from Portugal through Cape Verde and its wild rhythm, Brazil with its bossa nova, Rio with its fiesta, and sun-drenched Angola filled with sparkling rhythms, all the way to songs written by Beto Betuk, Anna Maria Jopek and Marcin Kydryński.
Anna Maria sang of her love for Lisbon in the first song. In the final one, she confessed that everyone must carry within them the glow of Lisbon, or of another beloved place on earth, in order to be happy everywhere and on every journey.
The “Sombremesa” concert at Forum was undoubtedly one of the best cultural events in Bolesławiec this season.
