MKS Bolesłavia, UKS Ilyo Bolesławiec and UKS Tukan Iwiny are the only three clubs in Bolesławiec County to have been recognised by the authorities of Lower Silesia. The award ceremony took place on Friday, 16 March, in Wrocław.

All three clubs were honoured in the “Organisation of Sports Training in Selected Sports Clubs from Lower Silesia, Selected on the Basis of Sporting Results Achieved in 2011” competition.

The summary of the results of sporting competition among children and young people was prepared in cooperation with the Polish Youth Sport Federation and sports associations. According to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, a higher position in the ranking table is “not only proof that the club has exceptionally talented athletes. It is also evidence of the promotion of sport among children and young people”.

For the fifth consecutive time, the Bolesłavia Inter-School Sports Club received an award from the voivodeship authorities for outstanding sporting achievements and the club’s excellent position in nationwide rankings. The money (PLN 4,000) will be used by the club to train children and young people, subsidise camps and purchase sports equipment.
