The Indoor High Jump Meeting held in Lwówek Śląski is now behind us. Nearly 100 athletes from the Lower Silesian and Lubusz Voivodeships took part in the competition. Our town was represented by a six-person team of MKS Bolesłavia track and field athletes, who won a total of three medals.
The gold medal in the older girls’ category was won by Dominika Kwaszcz (she defeated 20 competitors with a result of 145 cm). The trainee of Bartosz Gruman would like to become a heptathlete in the future. Dominika’s result is a very good sign for the summer season.
The gold medal also went to Damian Gradzik, coached by Tomasz Markowski. In the under-16 boys’ category, Damian achieved a result of 175 cm.
Competing in the older boys’ category, Mateusz Paruch won silver (135 cm). In the same category, Kacper Tałocha finished fourth (125 cm). Both athletes train under the supervision of Bartosz Gruman.
Kacper Olszewski finished eighth among the under-16 boys, while Marek Pławiak finished fourth in the junior and open categories.
