During this year’s president’s awards ceremony, Piotr Roman gave honorary distinctions to, among others:
- Edward and Irena Gałek (Edir company) – winners of the Euroregion Nysa Innovation 2011 award for the best cross-border cooperation
- Enrique Martinez – director of SRG Global (Guardian), a company operating in the Bolesławiec Subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest-Park
- 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment (one of the largest employers in Bolesławiec)
- the Military Recruitment Office.
Individual awards in the sports category went to:
- Edward Spraski – a judoka who in 2011 took seventh place at the World Championships in Frankfurt and first place at the International Polish Championships
- Ewa Ochocka – an athlete from Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Boleslavia (in 2011 she set three club records in the 100 m and 300 m races and the long jump), winner of the Poland-Czech Republic-Germany International Match in the 100 m, and bronze medalist at the Polish Samsung Athletic Cup Championships in the 100 m
- Bartosz Wróbel – an athlete from Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Boleslavia, silver medalist at the National Youth Olympics in Płock in the 2,000 m steeplechase, and a member of the National Junior Team training program
- Beata Dąbal – an athlete from Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy “Boleslavia”; in 2011 she won three medals at national events and set a club record in the hammer throw
- Andrzej Daszyński, a swimmer from Klub Pływacki “Masters Bolesławiec”
- athletes from Uczniowski Klub Sportowy Ilyo Bolesławiec and the Polish Junior National Team in taekwondo: Paulina Stojanowska and Kamil Serafin
- Dawid Permus – a sports bridge player and captain of the youth team competing in the Polish Team Championships at district-league level.
Team awards went to:
- the junior girls’ volleyball team from Klub TOP Bolesławiec, consisting of: Edyta Szewczuk, Dorota Burdyna, Zofia Lankiewicz, Dominika Mienculewicz, Magda Kozłowska, Katarzyna Melko, Dorota Medyńska, Paulina Kopeć, Patrycja Drążkiewicz, Katarzyna Segiet
- the swimmers’ section of Klub TOP Bolesławiec, consisting of: Agata Knapik, Jonasz Szkirpan, Patryk Łukanowicz
- Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Bolesłavia
- the team of Uczniowski Klub Sportowy “KUSY”, consisting of: Arkadiusz Ziółkowski, Dawid Kowalonek, Kamil Tyndyk, Martin Nakonieczny, Dawid Strojek, Norbert Małecki, Mateusz Giergielewicz, Adrian Puzio.
Awards for community service were presented to:
- Helena Kowal, founder of the Klub Ciekawych Świata and the Koło Miłośników Opery
- Stefan Olejnik, a member of the Polish Motor Association (in 2011 he promoted Bolesławiec at the International Tourism Fairs in Wrocław and Berlin)
- Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 7 with integration classes
- Hufiec Pracy.
The following received awards in culture:
- Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska, painter, educator and instructor at the “Akademia Sztuki” art studio at BOK-MCC
- Joanna Ośko, a student of Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska and participant in BOK-MCC art workshops (her work received a distinction at the 12th International Art Competition in Japan)
- Aleksandra Samostrokova, conductor of the Kamerton choir at the State Music School
- Melikos Children’s Choir at Municipal School Complex No. 2
- Michał Szwed and Mateusz Grobelny – for artistic activities during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival
- Municipal Song and Dance Ensemble “Jutrzenka”
- the band Sumptuastic.
Awards in science went to:
- Szymon Głogowski, a teacher at Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 and founder and president of Stowarzyszenie Trójrzecze
- Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, principal of Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych im. mjra Henryka Sucharskiego
- the team of teachers from Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 3, consisting of: Katarzyna Zięba, Monika Kalinowska, Ewa Kuczyńska, Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut, Błażej Dzikowski, Grażyna Symonowicz, Agnieszka Szulc-Jednoróg
- the team of students from I Prywatne Gimnazjum, consisting of: Karolina Kwiatkowska, Rafał Molenda, Bartosz Jusypenko, Martyna Nawara.
In the other category, the Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego “Ceramika Artystyczna” received a distinction.
