Officers detained a 22-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality. The theft occurred on 13 January. The man stole a soil-compacting road roller from one of the agricultural plots and sold parts of the vehicle at a scrap-metal collection point. The value of the stolen property was PLN 500.
The road roller was handed over to its rightful owner. The 22-year-old had already been convicted of similar offenses. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
