The National Ranking of Upper-Secondary Schools, prepared by the educational monthly “Perspektywy” and the daily “Rzeczpospolita”, included schools from Bolesławiec County. Among them, Technikum No. 3, part of the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych, performed best. In the ranking of technical schools, the school placed fifth in Lower Silesia and 110th nationwide. Technikum Logistyczne (Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych) ranked seventh in the voivodeship and 132nd in Poland, while Technikum No. 4 (Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych) took 17th place in Lower Silesia and 228th nationwide.
“Technikum No. 3 at ZSOiZ offers several different specializations, including economics and hotel management. If the individual specializations at technical schools within this institution had been analyzed, as was the case with many other schools, this school would have been ranked even higher,” says Alicja Krzyszczak, head of the Department of Education, Culture, Physical Culture and Sport.
“This year’s ranking results once again confirm that our technical schools are among the best. Fifth or seventh place in Lower Silesia is an excellent result,” emphasizes Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of Bolesławiec County. “For the second year in a row, our school-leavers have achieved the best matriculation examination results in the voivodeship in the overall classification. This year’s lower-secondary school graduates should remember that—including those from neighboring counties—and begin their education in the schools of Bolesławiec County in September. It will simply pay off!”
