For the third time, the Orchestra played a day earlier in Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality. A cross-country run, “A Stroll with the Orchestra,” was organized in Iwiny. A record number of participants stood at the starting line on Saturday. More than 90 people took part in various categories. The run in Iwiny was the prologue to the Lubin Running Grand Prix, and interest in it is growing year by year. The competition was headed by Dariusz Pachnik, who, with the help of volunteers, ensured the event was well organized.

On Sunday, a final concert was held in the hall of the Village Cultural Centre in Raciborowice. As usual, local groups performed: “Niespodzianki” from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, children from the Primary School in Raciborowice, “Podgrodzianki” from Raciborowice with very young soloists from the “singANDdance” group, and the young Bolesławiec group “Soft”.

In addition to the concerts, there was an auction conducted by Mirosław Kopczyński, director of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Warta Bolesławiecka. A film showing the course of Saturday’s rally was also screened.

At the headquarters office, volunteers lined up to bring in their full collection cans. A record was set in Warta, and the following amount will be transferred to Jurek Owsiak’s foundation: PLN 15,935.83.

For the second consecutive time, the record amount was collected by volunteer Ania Skibicka from Iwiny. Her can contained PLN 1,533.67. For such a good result, the head of the headquarters, Waldemar Socha, rewarded Ania with a small gift, while the audience rewarded her with applause.

The county head, Cezary Przybylski, was also among the audience. He did not spare his money and supported the campaign by taking part in the auctions. The director of the Municipal Cultural Centre and the head of the headquarters thanked the audience for attending the event and the volunteers for dedicating their time to preparing the concert. Then everyone went out onto the terrace to watch the traditional release of the “light to the sky.”
