First place, with a score of 44 points, went to Zygmunt Haftarczuk, who lives in the USA. Mirosław Sakowski and Przemysław Hałas tied for second place, each scoring 41 points. The remaining places were taken by Wiesław Selwent, Jan Kulczycki, Kasia Selwent, Józef Werenc and Agnieszka Hałas.
The competition was held using the “Stableford” system. This means that the number of strokes taken on a hole is converted into points. The competitors taking part in the championship rated the standard of preparation of the golf course highly. The only thing that did not cooperate that day was the weather. The competition ended with a communal lunch and a tasting of champagne donated by the winner.
The next tournament will be held on June 26 at the Yested golf course near Liberec.
