This year, the WOŚP finale will be held at the BOK-MCC building, on the stage at J. Piłsudski Square and in the parking lot by the Tesco supermarket, where “Rajdowy WOŚP Bolesławiec 2012” will take place. On Sunday, everyone wishing to support the Orchestra can look forward to entertaining activities, workshops, concerts and lectures.
A prize lottery will run all day in the BOK-MCC lobby, while instructors invite visitors to art classes in the studios on the first and second floors. In the afternoon, Mateusz Grobelny and Edyta Orlińska will make little hearts with children and adults in the ceramics studio. The youngest participants will be able to paint under the guidance of Stanisława Wojdy-Pytlińska.
The stage in the BOK-MCC conference hall will host amateur children’s and youth ensembles from the Youth Cultural Centre, the Music School and the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre, as well as Tomasz Wachnowski and the band “Nie strzelać do pianisty”.
Before noon, ensembles from MDK and the “Bolesławiec” Municipal Brass Band will perform on the stage at Piłsudski Square. In the afternoon, K.Ł.A.M, The Side Effect/Random, Naaman, Anastasis, Circle of Bards and Wieś Band Bielany will perform, followed by Pure Inception.
A mini rally will be organised in the parking lot beside the Tesco supermarket. The event will begin at 10:00. It will feature test runs by the registered teams and Rally Taxi rides—spectacular rides available to anyone for a fee donated to WOŚP.
This year, the WOŚP foundation will allocate the money to purchasing insulin pumps for women with diabetes who, thanks to planning and appropriate treatment during pregnancy, can give birth to healthy children. During this Finale, a media campaign will be held to promote the fight against the disease among all Poles, regardless of gender or age.
The 20th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski.
