Bolesławiec, known for its ceramic traditions, is also an important center of the region’s social and economic life. The city has good transport links with Wrocław and German Görlitz, while its international character is underscored by the presence of US Army soldiers.

Representatives of the Lower Silesian Football Association met, among others, with the city and county authorities during a recent visit to Bolesławiec. The talks concerned the organization of the final and the possibility of incorporating local elements into the event’s presentation.

The cup competition in the four districts of Lower Silesia is entering its decisive phase. In the Wrocław district, the following teams are competing for promotion: Rokita 1946 Brzeg Dolny, Ślęza Wrocław, Polonia Bielany Wrocławskie and Moto Jelcz Oława.

The teams still in contention in the Legnica district are Gwardia Białołęka, Chrobry II Głogów, Zagłębie II Lubin and Górnik Polkowice. In the Wałbrzych district, Lechia Dzierżoniów, Słowianin Wolibórz, Bielawianka Bielawa and AKS Bazalt Strzegom are competing, while in the Jelenia Góra district the teams are Cement Raciborowice, Karkonosze Jelenia Góra, Górnik Węgliniec and Apis Jędrzychowice.

One winner will be determined from each district. The winners will form the semifinal pairings. The matches will be played as single fixtures, usually at the stadium of the team playing in the lower division.

The final of the JAXAN Lower Silesian Polish Cup in the 2025/2026 season will take place in Bolesławiec. The city on the Bóbr River was selected partly because of its modern sports infrastructure – in 2025, one of the most modern stadiums in the region was opened here.
