In January, the Film Discussion Club will screen five films. Each film costs 5 zlotys with a pass.

Today, 2 January, Dorota Kędzierzawska’s film “Tomorrow Will Be Better”, nominated for the Golden Lions Award, will be screened. It is the story of three homeless boys living at a railway station in one of Russia’s cities. One day, two brothers and their friend decide to cross the green border and escape to Poland.

The following Monday will feature an adaptation of the international bestseller starring Anne Hathaway: “One Day”. It is the story of Emma and Dexter, who meet for the first time on the night of their school graduation. They decide to meet each other on the same day every year for the next twenty years.

On 16 January, the film “The Elbow” will be screened. It won three individual awards—for screenplay, debut and supporting actress—at the 36th Polish Feature Film Festival.

On the penultimate Monday, 23 January, DKF audiences will see “Women from the 6th Floor”—a story set in 1960s Paris. The orderly life of a French married couple is disrupted by six women who have arrived from Spain in search of work.

On 30 January, “Siberia. Monamour” will be screened—the story of six-year-old Lioshka and the contrasting fate of soldiers whose commander is an ideal representative of the cruelty and brutality of the system.
