Firefighters’ Day celebrations began with a Mass at the Sanctuary. Later, at the station, firefighters were promoted to higher non-commissioned and officer ranks. The firefighters expressed their thanks, and the guests offered their good wishes.
Last year, thanks to EU funding and sponsors, the Bolesławiec command received three fire engines with equipment and modern hydraulic equipment needed to rescue people. “Firefighters are always pleased with new equipment, which we will use to save people,” said the Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, Junior Brigadier Grzegorz Kocon. Fifty-five firefighters work at the Bolesławiec command.
