Winter is approaching. Here is a list of institutions that provide assistance to people and families in need:
- Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec, 7 Cicha Street
- provides assistance in the form of care services at the place of residence to elderly, single and disabled people
- as part of the multi-year programme “State Aid in the Area of Nutrition”, it assists children under 7, pupils until they complete upper-secondary school, and people and families experiencing difficult life circumstances
- to ensure warmth during the winter period, the centre provides assistance in the form of allowances for purchasing fuel or paying gas and electricity heating bills for the 2011/2012 heating season
- Polish Red Cross, 30 Tysiąclecia Avenue:
- provides 24-hour shelter at a shelter for homeless people
- Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bolesławiec, Zamkowy Square:
- a parish canteen operates at the church
- Children’s Friends Society, Zwycięstwa Street (clinic) in Bolesławiec; Caritas points on Kościelna Street and Orzeszkowej Street:
- are involved in food distribution
- Polish Committee for Social Assistance in Bolesławiec, 8 Komuny Paryskiej Street:
- provides assistance in the form of free-of-charge replenishment of clothing and household equipment shortages
